Then become part of our team and support us full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our data center in the Gotha/Eisenach area. This is a permanent, on-site position, with the possibility of working from home on certain days.
As an IT System Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for administering our Linux servers, managing our virtualization environments (VMware ESXi, AWS), handling configuration management with Puppet, and ensuring the stable operation of our data center through monitoring, network administration, and backups.

Your responsibilities as IT System Administrator (m/f/d)
- Commissioning of newly procured server hardware, from rack mounting and cabling to operating system installation and provisioning
- System administration of our Linux servers (including Red Hat and Ubuntu) in the data center
- Operation and further development of our virtualization environments (Proxmox, VMware ESXi, AWS)
- Configuration management with Puppet for production, staging, and test environments
- Monitoring of our platforms (e.g. Nagios/Checkmk)
- Administration of various server systems (Redis, RabbitMQ, Solr Cloud, ELK, and more)
- Administration of databases, particularly MySQL and Percona
- Administration and configuration of our local network infrastructure (WAN/LAN and Wi-Fi) in the data center
- Maintenance and updating of our local and online infrastructure (OS, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and more)
- Setup and monitoring of local and online backups for our servers
Your Profile
- Several years of experience as a System Administrator, ideally in a data center environment
- Very good knowledge of web servers, preferably Apache or Nginx
- Solid knowledge of Red Hat and Ubuntu or another common Linux distribution
- Experience with Proxmox, VMware ESXi, and/or AWS is a plus
- Experience with networking (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, WAN/LAN, and Wi-Fi)
- Experience in the installation and commissioning of server hardware (rack mounting, cabling) is a plus
- Analytical and structured thinking, combined with a highly careful and thorough way of working
- Willingness to work on-site at our data center in the Gotha area
- Very good German skills (at least C1) or very good English skills (at least C1)
